From there Dax continued on to UCLA film School for Cinematography where he began to develop his cinematic sense of visual composition from studying the elements of the silver screen. This lead to a early Art Department career in the music video feature film & commercial production industry.
Later Dax would make a lateral transition to Commercial Hospitality Design, working with Designer Dodd Mitchell on numerous A-list restaurant & hotel projects in the greater Los Angeles area. It was the cutting edge working environment of young artists which inspired and motivated Dax to look past the confines of interior design. This resulted in many multi-faceted development and design projects including but not limited to restaurants, nightclubs, special events for fortune 500 companies and digital promotional content. DAX Design+Development opened in 2009.
Versatility with his mediums yet keeping a distinct sense of contemporary style throughout each project keeps Dax constantly challenged and engaged.
Much of his creative eye has come from his travels from around the world having lived in Tokyo, Australia, Paris & Italy.
